Sandalmaking is a great place to start if you’re wanting to dip your toe into shoemaking waters - you’ll be using traditional techniques to make a simple style, that’s achievable in just x4 evenings.
Classes are held over x4 consecutive Wednesdays 6-9pm. Check our schedule for dates.
Select from 7 customisable styles and from a stunning range of leather and hardware. To make them truly yours you can emboss your name or a message in silver or gold!
Beginners are very welcome.
Sandals footbeds are made from thick natural leather, with a 10mm rubber capped heel. Footbeds can be narrowed or widened to suit your feet. Styles are suitable for all genders.
This class involves some cutting and glueing of thick leathers. (If you're interested in a gentler shoemaking experience, I recommend the Sunday 1-day Sneaker workshop, which is all hand-sewing - no glues or hammers).
